#Read3: Sept. 29, 2013

Happy Sunday, America! More importantly, it’s National Coffee Day today! I know Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts have promotions of their own today. I usually go for the latter’s iced coffee with cream and sugar.

Before you head out to grab yourself a cup, check out these three articles I have picked for this week’s #Read3.

#Read3

  1. 12 Kermit the Frog Quotes for Your Bad Days – This past week, Muppets creator Jim Henson would have turned 77 years old — he died in 1990 at the age of 53. Mashable highlights 12 quotes associated with the most famous muppet of them all — and my personal hero — Kermit the Frog. These are truly uplifting and inspirational quotes from one of America’s most beloved icons.
  2. Siam Thai: Transporting authentic tropical flavors to Utah’s mountains – On his blog, Ted Nguyen — who I should disclose was my boss when I was his intern at OCTA from 2010 to 2012 — profiles a Thai restaurant located in the Salt Lake City area in Utah. His post is meant to highlight the growing transit network in the state as well as the increasingly authentic nature of the state’s ethnic food fare. I still haven’t been to Utah yet. After visiting New York, Chicago and Boston recently, my future travel plans now turn to destinations in the Rockies and the Midwest.
  3. My Thoughts on Last Month’s South Korea Trip – Last Monday, I shared my thoughts on how my trip to South Korea last month went. In sum, I feel the same way now as I did going into it — emotionless. It’s worth reading although I did my best to make this post as less depressing as possible.

If you have any articles worth highlighting for #Read3, leave a comment below at any time during the week or tweet me at @SimonOh.

Drink up, America!
