…even though when I was young, I was deathly afraid of cats and dogs. I remember when I was 6 or 7, I visited someone’s house and their dog came running after me and I ran like hell. I cried harder than that guy from the South who bawled over Britney Spears following her series of shortcomings in 2007.
My fear of cats and dogs have diminished significantly in the last few years.
I don’t have any siblings nor have I ever been in a relationship, the latter of which I’m still trying so desperately hard to change. But in the interim, I think having a furry companion to play around with and keep me company would be the next best thing. I mean, look at them (such as picture above)! They’re so cute and I really wish I had my own but where I currently live doesn’t allow pets.
Sure it seems like a big responsibility, much like raising a child or John McCain, but I believe that it is really worth the experience and the effort to raise one. I can teach my pet new tricks and commands as well as learn to love and appreciate it. Much like how I hope I will one day start dating, I hope one day I can finally get a cat or a dog or maybe even both that I can include as part of my own family. Rest assured that I will be adopting any and all animals from a shelter and no place else. Count on it.
